Pikes Peak Suicide Prevention Partnership has been fighting diligently, since 1993, to unite our community in the mission of preventing suicide. It hasn’t always been easy but all of us involved know just how great and important our mission is. In the face of adversity, we promise to fight harder. As the saying goes, nothing worth fighting for comes easy. This fight IS worth it.
Cassandra "Cass" Walton assumed the role of Executive Director in November of 2019 after serving as a volunteer with PPSPP for several years. Cass has worked in a variety of roles including a Therapeutic Living Director at a residential treatment facility for adolescent boys, a Program Director for a camp serving individuals with autism, and as a corporate Crisis Intervention Trainer for youth-serving organizations. Cass is a wife and mother of four. She loves to play and coach volleyball. She is passionate about giving her time to our community which has led her to become a member of The Pikes Peak Kiwanis Club, to act as a CASA of the Pikes Peak Region, to serve on The Advisory Committee to the 4th Judicial Court, and to sit on the Board of Directors for the Youth Documentary Academy. Cass serves the local suicide prevention community as the Co-Chair of The Suicide Prevention Collaborative of El Paso County and she sits on the steering committee for the Youth Suicide Prevention Work Group of El Paso County The knowledge and skill set that she brings to the table is impressive but her passion for our mission is unparalleled.
